Consignment

 

 

You will agree that we can sell your vehicle or equipment for you. We will then either collect the vehicle or equipment from you or you will bring it to us. You will specify in the consignment contract how much you want for your vehicle. We will then add our profit to your price and sell the vehicle for you. You can collect your vehicle at any time, giving us 2 working days notice. No costs or fees are charged to you, so if you collect your vehicle/equipment after for example 2 months, you can just collect it, no fees, no charge, no fixed time periods. When your vehicle is sold, payment will be made to your account within 2 working days (Amount you wanted for your vehicle/equipment).

 

What can I consign to you to sell

We will sell almost any vehicle/equipment for you, which includes but are not limited to the following:
 

• Any size trucks
• Any earth moving machinery
• Tractors, Harvesters, Specialized Farming Machinery
• Any Farming Equipment
• Trailers
• Cars
• Bakkies
• Motorbikes (Quads, Bikes, Scooters etc.)
• Boats
• Caravans & Campers

How safe are my vehicles/equipment

We have permanent security on site and electric fences connected to armed response and security protocols are upgraded continually, ensuring the safety of your valuebles is not compromised. We will take responsibility for any external damages, such as dents, scratches, stolen items etc. incurred while vehicle in our possession. We will not take responsibility for mechanical failures such as a battery going flat or for example an alternator stopped working while vehicle is kept in our possession, as vehicle/equipment will not be tested or used. If one of our clients wants a test drive in a vehicle, we will first obtain your permission to do so. We sign a contract on these terms and item remain your property until sold. We have been operating from this premises (Owned by Mativon) for over 15 years selling many consignment stock for our clients.

Costs of repairs

If there is a broken item on your vehicle/equipment and we decide it should be fixed before anyone would be interested in buying the stock, we will first quote you on the job/repair, where after we will require written permission from you that you will pay for the repairs if your vehicle is collected by you. We will not repair anything on your vehicle without written confirmation from you. You will NOT have to pay for the repairs if your vehicle/equipment is sold as repair costs are added to selling price, but if you decide to collect your vehicle/equipment, you will first have to pay the amount quoted and agreed upon in writing before repair took place. Vehicle/equipment will not be released if this amount is not received in full from you if vehicle/equipment is not sold.
